How do I change scanner for artwork " Acquire from Scanner"

I have just changed my scanner from Epson to Cannon. However when I select " Acquire from scanner" dbpoweramp ripper produces an error message that it cannot communicate with the old Epson scanner ( which isn't even connected). There seem to be no way to select the Cannon scanner. I have added dbpoweramp ripper to the Cannon's menu of applications that it can be operated from but no change.

Any advice?

You would have to go into device manager or scanners and disable the Epson device, Windows is still using it as the default scanner.

Many thanks for your response. There are no defaults set in Windows but your answer is certainly on the right track. It seems to be the Epson software that has taken over ! I'll have to delete it.

i am using DBP ripper 17.1, win 10, hp flatbed scanner HP G3110 ( it is old but works well )
I have been using the scanning inside of DBP to scan covers for several years now, After installing Printshop deluxe 23.1 it seemd to have messed up the Twain file
I have uninstalled printshop, uninstalled the scanner drivers, uninstalled, DBP, rebooted.
I reinstalled the scanner, and reinstalled DBP, but when i select acquire from scanner, the hp window opens, then disappears then the DBP ripper locks up.
i did some reading and it seems the correct .dll file is in the correct folders
would you know how to fix the issue

Try invoking the scanner from another program, does it work?

I do not know what to suggest, it is strange the window shows then hides.

I am willing to buy a new scanner, but no one has the flat bed scanners in stock locally
