    CD wont rip

I've had a problem with CD Ripper. On many CDs it isn't able to complete a rip. For example, recently trying to rip London Calling by the Clash (a brand new CD) on the first track it ran through Ultra Secure 3 times in about 2 minutes. Then it was attempting to re rip 13,750 frames. Counting down by each frame. After 20 minutes it still had not ripped the first track.

I have had this problem on many other CDs. Does anyone know why? It is set to the recommended level of FLAC ripping (level 5).
    Thanks for the help.

You may need a new (better) CD drive.

The "level 5" has nothing to do with ripping. It is just specifying how much to compress (losslessly) the resultant file. And to be clear, that has nothing to do with the quality of the sound (FLAC is always lossless, so all compression settings sound *exactly* the same).

      Hey Music493,

those problems are not a question of the codec. Most likely you have a bad CD or bad CD/DVD/BR drive. Can you try to rip the CD with a different drive?
