Tracks not ripping (error)

Hi, I've been having a problem with one particular CD, which plays fine in a CD player. No matter what settings I try on CD ripper, only 5 of 14 tracks rip, and the others go straight to error. I've had the odd track on other CDs do this, but never this many. Any thoughts?

You would have to try a different cd drive to rip it.

Hi Spooner, tried a new CD drive on another MacBook (Air). Same problem

What is the exact error message shown? (copy and paste please).

I was unsuccessful ripping a cd with Dbpoweramp while the same cd ripped fine with XLD. It took much longer than normal but instead of DB giving errors, all tracks ripped using XLD resulted in Completed. I must admit that I have not yet listened to the flac files, so maybe they all are bad

It was a cd that has copy protection, so maybe XLD can handle this type of CD better?
