Ripped track contains less than 1 second of previous track?

I must admit first that I'm not good with terminologies regarding this software. I don't know if it's an offset issue with my drive or what. But the issue I'm seeing, with the very first disc I'm trying to rip, is that Track 2 of the ripped disc contains less than a second of the end of Track 1. Like the track break isn't detected properly or something. The disc shows to have been ripped properly. Indeed, I have a downloaded version of this exact same title, everything from the (ah-hem) internet and that rip shows is has Track 2 beginning where it should, etc. So clearly I'm thinking it's my drive this is at issue and that I'll just need to fine tune it.

My drive is brand new, just purchased.

Try a different disc, offsets are fractions of a second, never 1 second.

I have had this happen with a small number of discs--somewhere less than 1% of about 1350. The rips are always fine according to AccurateRip. I believe the problem lies in the discs' programming and not with CD Ripper. I fix it using Sound Forge Pro (one could also use Audacity), removing the tiny snippet from the beginning of the second track and appending it to the end of the first one.

(This wouldn't be a problem if I would just listen to tracks in order, but I almost always play them randomly.)

Thank you both for getting back to me. After observing the disc in multiple drives now I think I can absolutely say it's the programming of the disc and it's not an issue with my drive of CD Ripper.
