WAV rips - does Metadata work in iTunes?

I do not use iTunes, but it is looking like the answer is no.

If not I guess the easiest option is to convert to AIFF or FLAC?

iTunes will not read ID Tags from any wave file.

I thought so...

But hopefully if I convert the WAV files (that I ripped with dBpoweramp) to AIFF or FLAC then iTunes will be able to read the ID Tags?

iTunes and FLAC? iTunes can't handle FLAC AFAIK.
