re-inserting a ripped cd not showing files

    Hello,

I am going through my CD collection, and when I find a cd that has errors on a track, I take the cd out after ripping the rest of the CD and put it a pile to come back to later.
I know at one time, when I put a CD back in after it had been ripped, I would see the Rip Status status for all the tracks and the album artwork. Now, when I put a ripped CD back in, the Rip Status column is blank, the same as if I were ripping for the first time, also the album artwork is missing. If I hit rip again, it will ask if I want to over write the files, so I know it is looking in the same place. Is there a setting somewhere that I have mistakenly changed? Other than this everything has been going smoothly.

    thank you
    don

    Hey Don,

dBpa is working with a cache. Metadata and status of a CD are in the cache for some time, but then the will be deleted.

That dBpa asks you, if you like to overwrite the existing files, is a different story. dBpa looks at the destination path for existing files.

As Dat Ei has mentioned, CDRipper first checks for the existence of the CD in the dBpoweramp Cache file. Overtime, the CD metadata and artwork stored in the cache, will be replaced by other CD metadata. In CDRipper, you are able to increase the dBpoweramp Cache file size (and so hold more CDs).
