Sony VAIO XL1B1/XL1B2 Powerfile C200 Considerations

I'm looking at ripping quite a few CDs so am investigating bulk CD carousels, particularly the ones mentioned above, but I was hoping someone could answer a couple of questions:
    • I've seen mentioned here by Spoon that the XL1B and the C200 are 'identical'. Does that mean the updated firmware in the XL1B2 makes it a little 'better'/quieter than the C200? I'm not excluding an XL1B3 for any particular reason, I've just not seen one available so any of the others seem more likely to be found.
    • Do all the units have autoswitching power supplies so I could safely order one from the States and use it in the UK?
    • Are any of these units easier to repair or replace parts than the others?

    Ta!

I do not know about later models.

The earlier ones needed a step down transformer to 110V.

For all those models mentioned? Sony and Powerfile? I don't suppose there's a way of telling, by serial number or PSU revision or something? I wouldn't want to drop £100s on one just to pop it
