Single pass rip to multi FLAC plus single mp3 with cue sheet ??

Hi. New user to dBpoweramp.
Looking to switch from EAC in hope of single pass rip to both FLAC & mp3.

I'm considering alternative storage format options for archiving CD collection, and leaning to FLAC for home use (with file per album track), and mp3 for portable devices (with single file per cd, plus cue sheet - to avoid unwanted gaps) On any portable devices that don't support cue sheet, I'd be happy to listen to full albums.

Although dBpoweramp looks promising, it doesn't seem possible to select rip to multi encoder then put [CUE single file image] in the multi encoder settings.

Is there any direct way round that?

I could:
1) dBpoweramp rip to FLAC single file per cd, plus cue sheet
2) Cuetools - split single FLAC+cue to FLAC file per track.
3) Cuetools - convert single FLAC+cue to single file per cd, plus cue sheet
but thats not much better than ripping twice. Cuetools has a batchmode, but that has some limitations.

Any better ideas? Thanks.

What players are you using. I rip to FLAC and mp3 and none of my players require cue sheets to play back truly gapless. Hasn't been needed on my end for over 10 years.

Correct, cue sheet creation does not work with multi encoder.

Maybe, you could abandon cue sheet and adopt a 2 step workflow (which requires ripping once only).
Step 1 rip to flac.
Step 2 use Batch Converter to create your mp3 library, from the flac library.

A variety over the years. On PC mostly OK, but no portable players found reliable for gap less, but it could because of the mp3 rip method. Nearly always get a glitch where music is continuous across tracks.
At the moment, on Android, tend to mostly use ES File explorer (as it plays local files and from NAS), now trying Poweramp for local files and Soumi for NAS.

Thanks, I take it that's in dBp'mp, have so far only spent a few hours with it and hadn't come across batch.
Would it work to flac per track, then convert to single mp3 per album?

I find that foobar2000 on my PC plays mp3 (and FLAC of course) perfectly gapless (no glitches). (and I have lots of gapless albums, from live concerts to things like Abbey Road or pink floyd albums.) For portables, my old ipod 160gb and my newer iphones and ipads all play mp3 files gapless. Perhaps importantly, my mp3 files are created with LAME codec (which deals better with gapless than some older mp3 codecs as I believe it stores some info in the file header). Also, if one plays mp3 files and has "soundcheck" or "replaygain" turned on, and the player is using "track level" soundcheck/replaygain, there will be a "glitch" at the transfer of a track because of slight changes in volume. But I use "album level" on my players, so the volume adjustment is the same across the entire album.

I've also always been using LAME.

Thinking about gain, I'm wondering how it works when CUE single file image is selected. The DSP replay gain settings still includes "write track gain". Where is this figure stored, and is there some way to examine the saved track and album gain settings?
