    Hi guys
is there any way to rip in "ultra secure" mode at 2x speed?

    Thank you

If the speed is not listed for the drive then the drive does not allow this speed to be set.

I use apple super drive usb writer.
I see no speed list bar but i guess there is way to read at 1x or 2x.

Most modern drives rip worse at lower speeds such as x1 or x2

Why do you want to limit the speed?

i would like to compare CRC code of some tracks in two speeds. i want to be sure there is no difference between 1x and higher speeds.

Don't get me wrong, but do you know and understand the concept of ripping, accurate rip and ultra secure? Just a question!

ultra secure use c1 and c2 error checking

The ultra secure mode is a fallback if there are no data for the CD in the accurate rip database. For ultra secure you can configure the minimum and maximum number of passes and set the option that CDRipper will vary the speed for each pass. The rip is only ultra secure if the drive reports no errors and the checksums for the passes are identical. While accurate rip proofes against the checksums of other users, ultra secure proofes against the checksums of your several passes (as a sign of reproducibility). The drive speed doesn't matter as long as CDRipper calculates the same checksum for each pass. A slower readout might help if you have problems with a drive or a disc.

persian classic music albums are not in accurate rip database and many of our audio CD's are low quality press.
