CD Ripper crashing when inserting CD

Hi, I have been using dBpoweramp 15.7 for a while with no problem until today when it crashes every time I insert a CD?
I’m using a Mac running 0SX 10.11.6. The CD drive is connected to my iMac via USB. I have tried another CD drive with the same issue.
XLD and itunes seem to work fine but prefer dBpoweramp.

Any ideas what might be the issue?

Thanks for the bug report, it is being investigated.

For now I recommend that you try using dBpoweramp R16 beta instead-

I presume there is a problem with retrieving metadata from the internet; relevant part of the application was reworked for R16 and the bug is most likely gone.

Follow up: we crash on retrieval of metadata from MusicBrainz.

The bug is already fixed in R16.

You can mitigate by either unchecking MusicBrainz metadata retrieval, or upgrading to R16 beta.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give the beta version a go. Do you have a rough idea when the final R16 version will be released?

R15.8 is out which corrects this issue.
