    USB CD drives not recognised

I've just purchased and installed dBpoweramp Reference R16, on a PC running Windows 7, which has no internal optical drive, and 2 external drives connected by USB.

CD Ripper doesn't detect either drive: the 'Insert Audio CD into' message box shows a "No Entry" icon and text <No CD Drive Found >.

Both drives are recognised by Device Manager, which shows them as, respectively, "HL-DT_ST DVDRAM GP57ES40 USB Device" and "TSST corp CDDVDW SH-S203N USB Device". CDs can be played from both.

    Any suggestions?

Try right click on the dBpoweramp Control Centre icon and choose 'Run as Administrator', then start CD ripper from the icon in Control Centre.
