Customizing Ripping

When I rip a CD, all the songs appear in the form "01 Bob Dylan - Rainy Day Women". I would like to have it appear simply as "01 - Rainy Day Women", but I can't seem to find where to modify the setting for this. Anyone know how to accomplish this seemingly simple task ? Your help would be much appreciated.

Your player is using filenames not id tags to display the track playing?

The filename can be set in CD ripper, where it says Naming (bottom left).
