Edit AlbumArt-tag (remove-Add) results in corrupt files

Last week I ripped over 100 cd's. Conversion to MP3: no errors.
Next I replaced AlbumArt with right click on selected flac-tracks, and ran batchconverter... and got a few hundred tracks with errors!!
    "Error converting to mp3 (Lame):
Encountered 'FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_READ_METADATA' in FLAC File... "
And also: " md5 did not match decoded data, file is corrupt. "

So my conclusion: Edit tags (right click on selected flac-tracks) corrupts Flac-files!
Very annoying. I had to rerip a few hundred tracks.

Found one workaround: do NOT add AlbumArt upon ripping. After ripping it's OK to add AlbumArt...

(PC with Windows 7 Ultimate; dbPowerAmp R15.3, registered, first install just about a week ago)

If you can do a test on one file, which is local on your computer (not on a NAS), one which was corrupted previously, if you can repeatedly corrupt a file (copy the original before trying) we need the file and the art you are applying to look into it.

      Hey Jappa,

I can't confirm your observations. I did those steps several times. Where are your flac files stored? On a local HDD or on a NAS or SAN?

I think he is saying, it corrupts the files if he adds the art whilst it is ripping.

Ripping works OK. AlbumArt included on first rip.
Issues arise when replacing AlbumArt with custom Folder.jpg: many flac-files are corrupt and cannot be converted to mp3.
Drive: USB-drive connected to my PC
          Today I did some testing:
          1. on local drive (SSD): no problems
          2. on e-Sata drive: no problems
Finally I formatted the USB-drive (NTFS, default clusters) and tested again: NO PROBLEMS...
So... something was wrong with the USB-drive. After formatting: everything functions the way it should!
Pfff, happy it's not a program issue!
