New dvd drive seems to re-rip a lot

Bought an LG GP60NB50 for my current pc tower to rip cd's. l've had 3 cd's already with tracks that are re-ripping, yet the discs look fine......any suggestions? (it's currently doing a track with 6000 odd frames, which l'll cancel) is it just a dodgy drive? it's brand new

Possibly you have c2 enabled and the drive does not support it in reality.
