batch ripping start, stops immediately on first disk with "User cancelled" error

DBPA registered version / Nimbie Batch ripper / Windows 11 NUC direct attached.

Have successfully ripped about 500-ish discs up to this point. On starting a new batch, I load the Nimbie, press START RIP, and it loads first disc, reads disc (for a bit) and then immediately ejects the disc with "reject 1: User Cancelled" status on the disc. Disc is then rejected and then the batch process stops.

    Rebooted machine -- No luck
Powered machine and NIMBIE off, back on and restarted the process -- same error.
Use different discs as Disk 1 -- same error.

Searched forum for "User Cancelled" error .. no prior issue found.

Ideas? can I pull logs from somewhere to help troubleshoot?

What happens if you try to start batch ripping again straight after that?

      exact same actions.

I can start from a powered off position, power machines on, launch DBPA, load discs, first disc loads, reads, and immediate stops and says "User Cancelled", ejects discs, and declared batch ripping complete (even tho there are discs in the hooper).

I'm not touching anything prior to the USER CANCELLED message appears.

I can MANUALLY insert a disc, and start the DBPA CD Ripper (single rip app), and it mounts the CD, reads meta data, and rips successfully

      Thoughts?
