Cd of a vinyl transfer mysteriously won't rip

I have been using a CD recorder to transfer a bunch of my vinyl and had an odd situation come up. When going to rip a CD containing, specifically, a transfer of an album by German electronic musician Conrad Schnitzler - a 1978 album called Con - it will not rip. Not that it won't make a secure copy...but rather, will not even rip at all or begin to try. An error log immediately pops up when hitting the start button:

Error ripping to Wave, 'Track 2' to 'C:\Users\BryanK\Desktop\Vinyl\Conrad Schnitzler\Con\02 Conrad Schnitzler - Side 1.wav'
Error unable to open File 'C:\Users\BryanK\Desktop\Vinyl\Conrad Schnitzler\Con\02 Conrad Schnitzler - Side 1.wav' for writing. [clEncoder::BeginConversion]

Error ripping to Wave, 'Track 3' to 'C:\Users\BryanK\Desktop\Vinyl\Conrad Schnitzler\Con\03 Conrad Schnitzler - Side 2.wav'
Error unable to open File 'C:\Users\BryanK\Desktop\Vinyl\Conrad Schnitzler\Con\03 Conrad Schnitzler - Side 2.wav' for writing. [clEncoder::BeginConversion]

When it happened the first time, I thought there may have simply been an anomalous glitch on the CD-R. I made another copy and the same thing happened.

This is the ONLY time this has happened, so is isolated to this record only. I can play the tracks off of the CD just fine.

Any ideas for me? Very weird!

List of forbidden folder names in windows:

CON: &*8212; console (input and output)
AUX: &*8212; an auxiliary device. In CP/M 1 and 2, PIP used PUN: (paper tape punch) and RDR: (paper tape reader) instead of AUX:
LST: &*8212; list output device, usually the printer
PRN: &*8212; as LST:, but lines were numbered, tabs expanded and form feeds added every 60 lines
NUL: &*8212; null device, akin to /dev/null
EOF: &*8212; input device that produced end-of-file characters, ASCII 0x1A
INP: &*8212; custom input device, by default the same as EOF:
OUT: &*8212; custom output device, by default the same as NUL:

I posted a link to this but need moderator approval. Just to let you know, there is nothing wrong with your system or CD.

Excellent! That was the problem. It is too bad that DbPoweramp does not supply an error message telling one to rename files in this situation. This would be a good update for the developer to consider.

        Thanks a bunch!
