    Settings for Logs

Where are the logs saved, and is there a setting where I can make changes?

    (1) I will be ripping CDs to my external hard drive. Can I have the logs saved in a specific folder on my external hard drive? If yes, where is the option to change it? If I can't put the logs in a specific folder, then were are the logs saved?

    (2) Can I turn off the logs, if I decide that I don't want any logs saved? Where do I go and how do I turn it off the setting?

    (3) Also, is there a way to have the Cache go to a specific folder on my hard drive? If yes, where can I set it?

    Thanks.

Secure Ripping logs if enabled will be saved as a txt file with the audio tracks. The cache cannot be changed.

look at settings under CD Ripper options. log saving and location is a setting there. You really need to click on CD Ripper Options (and all other options), and click each sub option setting, scroll down, etc. You will see for yourself where all the options are set by doing this. Lots of options. Good news is that once set, you rarely if ever need to change. I've ripped over 5,000 CDs and haven't changed my options in years.

and note that next to lots of items in the ripper/converter you'll see a little "?" inside a circle. Click on these and it will take you to instruction information.

When I click on Menu, I see an option for After Ripping. The first 2 options are Display Error Log and Display Information Log. There isn't a "?" to see what it means, and the only thing I can do it add or remove a checkmark (I can't make changes except turn on and off). Are these logs that are stored on my drive, or is this just an info screen that appears on my monitor telling me the result. I can't find anything else related to log settings except what I described.

In CD Ripper Options, Secure Ripping options, at the bottom see the two items I have ticked (and I have selected "Complete" for the report contents. This saves my logs in the same folder as the album tracks. If I don't tick these, nothing is saved, but I would still see a DISPLAY only at the end of the ripping process.
