What happened to my last day of trial?

I was on the last day of my free trial (today). I was ripping until roughly 1pm to go out to eat. When I came back at 4pm it said that my trial had ended. What happened? I thought I had the rest of the day to finish my free trial, but it ended early.

The trial would have ended exactly 21 days after it started, to the minute.
