How to rip to an external usb drive

Hello all, first post.

I am using a macbook pro model with internal cd drive. I moved itunes and the itunes libary to an external 4 TB WD my book usb drive to have enough room for all my ripped cd's in apple lossless and Hi rez downloads.
In Db cd ripper I made the destination for the ripped files the wd my book drive. But when I tried my first rip using Db ripper the album did not show up in itunes. I do not know where it went. All of my cds ripped using the built in itunes ripper show up in itunes residing on the my book drive and itunes works perfectly. So....... How to I get cds ripped using Db ripper to show up in itunes on the my book drive ?

For iTunes to pickup the rips you have to rip to a folder called "automatically add to itunes", it will be located in the main iTunes library.
