    Getting these plextors to work on USB is not easy, the drive its self prefers a proper SATA connection.

        A stand alone drive which already comes with a USB connector, get 2 different brands if you and good error recovery.

          I have a couple of these external drives (Plextor Premium, Plextor PX-230a) but no LPS (Linear Power Supply) option for them. Can you recommend a solution that would work well for these external drives?
