Checksum ???

dBpoweramp CD Ripper has a metadata option to include a checksum as a tag. Is this checksum different than the CRC for the file? Please elaborate on just what dBpoweramp means by "checksum."

Is there a good way to test a file to make sure its CRC still matches the original CRC embedded as a tag.

By the way, our specific interests are limited to FLAC files.

OOppss. Wrong thread. Sorry.

Let me state it this way...I saw two different references to OSX compatibility somewhere, either in the application or on the website. I thought it was a help topic or maybe a forum reference. At any rate, I assume Mountain Lion is OK unless you say otherwise.

It would be the checksum of the audio data (decoded) only.
