    New LAME in kinda lame

I have my entire CD collection (about 1TB worth) Ripped in both LAME 3.100 MP3 and FLAC 1.5 This latest release has a new LAME version, that while it may be better, I would prefer to stay on what I have (3.100), but would like all the other update features. Is it possible now or in the future to select the version of LAME or other codec's I would like to use. For example, some cd's get better MP3's using LAME 3.99 and I would appreciate that option or choice. Next suggestion would be a better way with in this software to do what MediaHuman Audio Converter does, splitting tracks.

If you want accurate splits (so the resulting files will verify with AccurateRip/CTDB) you're better off using CUETools.

Tried it and found it to be just Too Complicated. Overall, I just didn't like it and it wasn't as good as what MediaHuman was offering.

I don't know what else MediaHuman offers, but I couldn't overlook the corruption.

Corruption? I have not experienced any issues with it yet. What exactly was your experience?

The resulting tracks aren't sample accurate so they no longer verify with AccurateRip/CTDB (PerfectTunes/CUETools).
It's possible audio will be impacted on gapless albums, though I haven't tested that.
