CD Ripper 2025-11-12 issue - Error writing audio data to StdIn Pipe

Upgraded CD Ripper today to 2025-11-12 (not sure if that is relevant). I did not make any changes to my normal settings (multi encoder - FLAC and m3) and tried to rip a CD, but got the same error on every track:

Error writing audio data to StdIn Pipe [clEncoder::EncodeBlock]

Watching the Output directory, I could see a .tmp and a .tmp1 file created for every track, but they'd disappear when the ripper reached the end of ripping all the tracks.

After a second or third reboot/retry, I noticed that Norton 360 popped up asking to block cdgrab.exe, but I allowed it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is norton which is blocking CD ripper and other components (coreconverter.exe).

Allowed all exes from dBpoweramp and PerfectTUNES - rebooted and even turned smart firewall off for a while - no change in behavior.
      Windows 11 Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.7171)

Also disabled auto protect and smart firewall for 10 minutes and relaunched dBpoweramp, but no change.

Restart windows in safemode with networking, then run cd ripper, does it work?

Also what exact settings are you using for mp3 and FLAC?

Entered safe mode with networking (5) and ran CD Ripper - same error message

Error ripping to mp3 (Lame), 'Track 3' to 'C:\Users\ <...>.mp3
Error writing audio data to StdIn Pipe [clEncoder::EncodeBlock]
          Encoder created a blank file: C:\Users\ <...> .tmp1

if you remove mp3 from multi encoder, does it work?

If you choose mp3 Lame as the encoder (not multi encoder), same error?

If so, run dBpoweramp control center >> advanced and enable debugging. Rip one track and post the last 30 lines from the log here please.

Ripped to Lame only - no more multi-encoder - same error message.
Then ran in debug mode and attached resulting file.

The file isn't huge so I left it all there in case there might be a clue.

I tried just FLAC and that worked!

Convert one of your flac files to mp3 lame with the debug log on and post it please.

Ok next test to narrow it down, convert the existing FLAC >> Multi Encoder (exactly as you had it in CD Ripper, with both FLAC then mp3)

If it does not work, then do again with debug log on please.
