Ripping CD on macOS Tahoe stuck on 0%

Hey I'd appreciate some tech support either from the developer or community. I stupidly paid for this software without trialing it first. I place a new CD in my drive (Plexor external drive in a OWC Mercury Pro housing - USB connection and separate power supply). The CD is recognized and plays perfectly with Apple Music. With CD Ripper it's recognized, but when I start to rip it just spins the disc for a sec, stopped, spins again, stops again, and does this forever while remaining on progress 0%. It's doing this when set to ripping secure and ultra-secure. Any troubleshooting tips would be much appreciated!

Alos worth mentioning, it rips fine if set to burst, but just hangs (so far it's been like an hour on first track and 0% when set to secure)

ChatGPT to the rescue... I had C2 Error enabled, but my CD drive apparently doesn't do C2 error correction so it just hung up forever without warning me to the problem. When disabling C2, it works fine. I'd suggest dbpoweramp add a feature to notify the user of an issue if C2 is inappropriately selected.

The problem is the other way around: a lot of drives claim to be capable of C2, but are not.
