Error when ripping to nas drive

Hi,

have been using cdripper for a while now and have never had issues. after a 6 month break from using it I tried to rip a cd to my usual nas drive (WD My Book Live) and now get the following error:

Error ripping to FLAC, 'Track 1' to '\\MYBOOKLIVE\Andrew\Happy Mondays\Greatest Hits\01 Happy Mondays - Step On.flac'
Error unable to open File '\\MYBOOKLIVE\Andrew\Happy Mondays\Greatest Hits\01 Happy Mondays - Step On.flac' for writing. [clEncoder::BeginConversion]

I can login to the nas drive and browse and even copy files to it so it doesn't seem to be a permissions issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is a permissions issue, this error is because dBpoweramp does not have writing rights to the NAS.

Hi,
yes I figured that was the issue but surprised that there isn't a solution on this forum as many users seem to be having the same issue. No doubt something broke after one of Microsoft's wonderful updates. I'll dust off my Windows books and see if I can resolve.
