All discs inaccurate in new drive

    Hi all,

I have a fairly new Pioneer BDR-X13U-X that has had no problems with DVDs and Blurays or playing CD, but when it comes to ripping CD's in dBpoweramp, every track on every CD comes back as X inaccurate. The offset of Accurip is given as +667. I am not sure what the problem could be as this is a pretty high-end drive that should provide the most stable and accurate rips from optical discs.

I tried an external USB Pioneer drive I had and it had a 85% secernate the first time sometimes needing to re-rip the same CDs. These CDs are pristine and a mix of old and new ones.

Any ideas what it could be?

    Thanks!

Re-rip the same track (on a disc with no scratches) over and over and look at the CRC shown in CD ripper, does it change?

Turn off "use C2 pointers" in settings if you have that ticked. Even drives that report ability to use C2 often don't implement correctly. And with AccurateRip, C2 pointers are not needed in any case.
