No cd drives show up after Windows 10 upgrade

    Hi,
I just updated my system to Windows 10. Now when I launch CD Ripper none of my drives show up and I get a message "No cd drives found".
I can run the application with a "run as administrator" and then my 3 drives show up fine.

I am logged in as a user with local admin rights. I tried creating a new admin user but get a same results with no drives found.

How can I run the CD ripper without having to "run as administrator" every time?

    Thx.

Do you see the CD drives in the File Explorer, when you are logged in as user?

CD Ripper requires low level access to the drive, where as Windows Explorer would not, so it will show whatever the account.

        Spoon,

Am I incorrect, but I do not believe you responded to my question above. This was generated by my IT professional helper. Frankly, I am having all sorts of issues using 3 cD-rom drives for ripping in Windows 10 since I switched to Windows 10 on Tuesday. Thanks for your help.

        Regards,
        Tom

I did respond to question, cd ripper needs low level scsi calls on the drive, which might require administrative rights.

Why not just set the ripper to always run as administrator. Right click in the ripper exe Cole and set to run as administrator.
