Skip Track Not working

Greetings dB forum. I am having problems with "Skip Track" not working. I have had this with several discs, sometimes there is a long delay before the track skips to the next one, and sometimes it wont at all as in todays rip of Checked Zebra. There is a scratch on this track, so I am sure that this is the problem, but I have pressed Skip Track numerous times, waiting about a minute between each time and the program remains stuck. Only solution is to cancel. Any chance for a fix on this?

The delay is with the drive trying to read the data, the program cannot skip is the drive is freezing.
