    Odd CD Drive Ripping Behavior

Good morning! I am experiencing an odd issue. Whenever I power my laptop on, I am initially able to rip from "problematic" discs without any issues. However, after that first rip, if I try to rip from the disc (or another problematic disc), I get tons of re-ripped frames. This is happening with multiple external CD/BD drives - does this indicate that I need to change my secure ripping settings? Possible there might be some kind of copy protection on the discs that is tripping me up? It's very curious behavior.

Possibly, Sony used to install specific root kit software on certain cd discs.
