Snap Crackle Pop

Using an LG wp50nb40 I ripped an MSFL Ultradisc copy of Dark Side Of The Moon. The disc plays perfectly on a dedicated SONY CD player. The first track, specifically, is riddled with audible pops on the ripped mp3.
Is this a hardware issue (PC's sound card, etc.)?

Any advice?

Likely a compatibility issue between the computer cd drive and the disc

Might adding a sound card as an upgrade help?

No, sound card is not used in Ripping CDs

I went back to your first bit of advice....I ripped the disc using the LG CD ROM drive and LG laptop (instead of Lenovo desktop).

As Inspector Clouseau used to say.......SOLVE-ED.
