    Windows Integration properties

    Hello everyone,
I'm using CD Ripper on Windows 11. I usually use this software to rip CDs to WAV format. Everything works fine on my audio devices, except for my car mmedia system (Alpine A290 GTS), which seems to use Windows properties and not ID-Tags. The problem is that in Windows file properties, the song artist appears as "Participating Artists" instead of "Album Artist," which is blank. This is problematic with my car audio because I don't see the entries when I access the Artist tab. Is there a way to change the ripping behavior to have "Album Artist" instead of "Participating Artists" ?

You can certainly add ALBUM ARTIST as a tag when ripping (or post-rip with ID tag editing software). There is no such tag (as far as I'm aware) for "participating artists". This must be something related to the system in your car (which are notoriously bad related to digital file playback; many don't even use tags and instead use only filename).

To be more precise, "participating artists" is not related to my car, but this is the default propertie that DBPowerAmp is writing when creating wave files. I just want changed or add Artist field to the Audio Properties. I have looked how to edit this field with some tools but without success. I agree with you; I have other cars where the system use ID-Tags. But not the last one !

This is a translation of Windows of the tag "Artist" depending on your localization. In my german OS its called "Mitwirkende Interpreten". In dBpa use "Artist" and "Album Artist" to address the standard tags.
