    No Drive Selected

I made this post as a reply under another topic from a few months ago, but I want to make it a separate post now in the correct topic:

I have an external DVD drive which I've been using to rip CDs without any problems for more than a year. I recently replaced my iMac with an M4 Mac mini. It rips some CDs without any problems but on other CDs which look perfectly clean and unscratched I'm getting 1,000's of frames to re-rip. I suspect some type of configuration problem. When going into CD Ripper settings, it says under CD Drive, "No Drive Selected" but down in the lower left it shows my external drive. I have an audio CD in the drive which successfully ripped without issue. I've gone into Privacy and Security and given CD Ripper and DBpoweramp both full access. I've closed and restarted the CD Ripper. I've rebooted the Mac mini, I've unplugged the USB drive. i changed CDs. It still says Np Drive Selected which of course keeps me from changing any of the drive settings.

Which version of dBpoweramp CD Ripper are you running? Please specifically check "About dBpoweramp CD Ripper" window.

My USB DVD drive is being accessed via a powered USB hub connected to my Mac mini. It works on most disks without any problem, but on a few disks which are pristine it gives me errors and will not rip most tracks. ON ALL AUDIO DISKS, even those it rips without error, the CD Drive in settings shows up as No Drive Selected while at the same time, the main program shows my drive in the bottom left corner panel, and it rips almost all CDs. I suspect that the inability to access the entire CD Drive page in settings is what may be causing some CD's to not rip properly and that this is the cause of the problem I'm having. I've looked through the forums and have seen others with this same problem.

I am on MacOS 15.6.1 on an M4 Mac mini and an external Caldigit USB hub.

There's a bug in current version of dBpoweramp CD Ripper: it expects disc to be inserted *before* opening ripper settings.

I meant to address this in last batch of updates, but apparently fixed only AccurateRip page, not CD Drive settings page.

Here's a new beta build with improved behavior of ripper settings pages:

Thank you. This beta version resolved the issue of the CD Drive setting showing No Disk Selected even when the bottom left panel of the program showed the disk drive with CD inserted. I am now able to use the settings on the CD Drive tab.
