Is this log necessary? I'm not sure what it is for. I ripped a 3cd set, so it came into one folder as intended. However, I also got 3 separate folders with the same name with three different logs in them. Is this supposed to happen? I thought I would just get one log in the same folder as the ripped tracks.

you get one log per DISK. So if you rip a 3 CD set, each CD gets a secure ripping log. In my case, each CD in a multiple CD set is placed in a "Disc #" subfolder under the Album folder. And each of these logs is different because they each relate to a different disc in the set.Is this log necessary? I'm not sure what it is for. In terms of necessary, it depends. I rarely need to look at this log. But there have been cases where I hear something odd on playback years later, and I return to look at the ripping log to see what happened at the time of ripping.
