    Pioneer PureRead 4

This post Spoon seems to indicate that PureRead wouldn't make much difference.

What I'm using: Windows 10 PC - Drive Pioneer BDR-X13U-S, with PureRead 4+.

I ripped a scratched CD my kiddo bought from the library (Taylor Swift - 1989, don't judge) the first rip was without the utility installed. When I loaded the utility PureRead was on (I think in Master Mode), I turned it off and reripped the same disc. It did seem to have an impact.

    * First rip every track was on Pass 1 (PureRead 4+ On - ? Mode)
    Track 13
AccurateRip: Accurate (confidence 200) [Pass 1]
    CRC32: 6670D04F AccurateRip CRC: 459B6EFF (CRCv2) [DiscID: 013-00171434-00e704b9-a90b6f0d-13]
    AccurateRip Verified Confidence 200 [CRCv2 459b6eff]
AccurateRip Verified Confidence 41 [CRCv2 6ecb51d4], Using Pressing Offset -646
AccurateRip Verified Confidence 22 [CRCv2 285cb55b], Using Pressing Offset -12

    * Second time (PureRead 4+ Off)
Track 8 - 2 passes but it passed
    Track 13 - failed
    AccurateRip: Inaccurate (confidence 200) Insecure [Pass 1 & 2, Ultra 1 to 6, Re-Rip 472 Frames]
    AccurateRip: Inaccurate (confidence 200) Insecure [Pass 1 & 2, Ultra 1 to 6, Re-Rip 472 Frames]
** Aborted: Have to ReRip 472 Frames, Re-Rip Limit Set to 100 Frames
    User Stopped Ripping

    * Third Time (PureRead 4+ On - Perfect Mode)
    Track 13
AccurateRip: Accurate (confidence 200) [Pass 1]

The track which failed, it did not even try to rip it securely as the abort settings are set at 100 frames, however if pureread is quick then in such circumstance it would be good.
