CD Ripper - Top bar control functions not working (R2025-07-07)

    Hello,
Just wondering if anyone had experienced the following; and if so whether there was a solution.. .. or something I'm doing incorrectly.

Ripped a CD yesterday, then updated to R2025-07-07 before shutting down my PC. Restarted this morning to continue ripping but top bar of CD ripper controls not responding to inputs. The CD is detected with correct metadata. Encoder settings can be changed as can album metadata information. However rip option, eject, refresh, metadata and settings functions don't work. The minimise and close 'x' controls in top right don't function so closing by Task Manager/End Task is needed.

I've re-installed DBpoweramp 3 times with requisite re-starts after uninstall, reinstall etc.

PC is running Win 11 Pro v24H2

    Many thanks,
    James

    Problem noted, thanks for reporting.

Closing the window by alt+f4 should still work

Do you use any custom Windows themes?

      Hi Peter,

Thanks for the response. Yes, alt+f4 works - many thanks.

Theme is Windows Spotlight. Colour mode at point of DBpoweramp install was Dark.

      Further details on H/W config: MS Surface Pro 8 (i7) -> (usb c) HP G5 dock -> ASUS SBW-06D2X-U Blu-ray USB player.

I have the same issue as JEG.

I tried reinstalling 2025-07-07 from download (I had upgraded from the green down arrow in the app) still the same issue.
I then looked to install the previous 2025-06-05, but the same behaviour with non responsive controls.
CD player plays the disk with no issues. Win 11 Pro 24H2.

Will look to do full uninstall and re install.

          Attempted workaround-

Save this file, quit CD Ripper and copy over your existing CD Ripper which should be in

          C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp

Let me know if it helps please.

PeterP, I can confirm that EXE file on the 07-07 ( and the 06-05) works. Able to rip, eject and close the app normally. Great stuff.

Hi. To confirm Guy007's feedback, yes I can also confirm the .exe replacement works on 2025-07-07. Profile encoder information is lost; although back-up has been made so not an issue really if the ripper works! Many thanks. J
