I'm getting around to disposing of my PCs from the 1990s. Have any of you found any value in CD drives that old as far as ripping is concerned?
I planned on using my PATA-to-USB adapter to access these drives...if that is technically possible.
I've been using DBPowerAmp for about five years and have ripped about 2000 CDs, including many from the mid-1980s. Ripping with my one internal drive (ASUS) and three external drives (LG, LG, ASUS) has resulted in about 10 Inaccurate song rips. Good statistics in my mind. (Only one CD completely unreadable, some 1986 RCA-Bluebird)
Thanks for any feedback.
