    Question

    Hi all,

For the past several years I've been using The Asus SDRW 08D2S-U. Some time ago it was purged but I was still able to configure Accurate Rip.
Today I had to configure it again but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Also after using a lot of Cd's in an attempt to configure.
Unless someone know's a solution I have to purchase a new drive. I'm considering the Hitachi-LG GP60NS60. Is this a good (futureproof) drive?
Also, since the Asus has been purged would it be beneficial to re-rip my collection with the new driver if it's a more accurate device?

    Regards,

No need to re-rip, the purging is only offset related, and the ability to auto detect the offset.

I am sure the Hitachi is a good drive.
