How do I verify the SECURE MODE CRC of a MP3/FLAC file?

Recently I ripped a disc which was not in Accuraterips database. I have the program configured to rip all the songs in secure mode, which means that each song is ripped 4 times.

The thing is that once the files are created, the CRC of the resulting files don´t match with the CRC appearing in the program.

14 Tracks Ripped Securely

For example, in the first song, the program says that its CRC is CRC32: BC86FF59. However, if I make a SFV file from the MP3 file I obtain a totally different CRC. Why is this?

I re ripped the disc a second time and I obtain always the same CRC, even it differs with the one appearing in the program.

The CRC is the audio prior to compressing, so for lossy such as mp3 it is not going to match.

The same thing happens with FLAC files. I mean, I also ripped this disc to FLAC and the same thing happened. Dmbpoweramp shows a CRC but the file has another.

The CRC is for the decoded audio data, without headers, if you install the dBpoweramp utility codec 'calculate audio CRC' then convert a file to this codec, the CRC for the audio part is calculated and shown.

So, if I have understood it correctly, you mean that the CRC the program shows is the one the audio has with no headers and other things?

Correct, the decoded audio, which if the source is lossless, will be identical to the CRC when ripping the CD.

A FLAC file is compressed, so removing headers would not help.
