CD Ripper hangs when trying to rip

I have used CD ripper for all my cd's.
Updated to win 10 a while ago and today when I got some new CD's ripping fails. I used v 14.4 but upgraded to 15.3, result is still the same. I have made a complete deinstall and reinstalled only 15.3 and it still hangs.
It hangs when it starts to rip so all that get created is an empty temp file and then it stops.
I was suspecting the hardware, but when I use GoldWave to do the same it works just fine.

I'm confused where should I start looking for problems now?
Win 10 is updated as far as I know.

Clear the settings and program, then reinstall and try ripping on default settings, do not change any settings to see how it rips.

So I have tried to cleanout the system and it does not help.
I have tried to change the CD read method and it does not help.
What I get in the log after approx 20 minutes of trying is this:
Error ripping to FLAC, 'Track 1' to 'C:\Users\stefan\Music\Melissa Horn\Jag går nu\01 Melissa Horn - Jag har gjort det igen.flac'
Unable to read CD, check CD disc (frame LBA 0 ripping 26 frames track end LBA 20658) [clRipperBurst::Rip]
I get one entry for each track on the cd.

Try setting communication to "Windows built in" on the options page.

Do you use a security software? What happens if you rip to a different directory (i.e. c:\tmp), not one of the default windows directories?

installed two other pieces of software for ripping cd's that work just fine. So for some reason this software does not marry well to win10 or my computer. Problem is solved changed software :-(

It definitely works with Windows10, so there must be some other (probably simple) issue.

To confirm, you have tried running the CDRipper.exe as administrator, using the Run as Administrator option?

Only change I did was to upgrade to Win 10 all other software has been there both before and after.
And sinct it's not a problem with Win 10 it's something else.
But changed product and problem was solved, with nothing else in the machine changed.

Hi - I have the same problem, my ripper hangs or does not respond. My Ripper now hangs as soon as it starts to read the CD. I have had CD ripper running successfully on 8.1 for months and then all of a sudden I noticed that it gradually became problematic and got worse rather than it just outright hanging all the time. When I changed to Windows 10, the ripper worked for a short while but gradually degraded to the point it just does not respond again? I will try the aforementioned remedies and report back - Fred.
