Folks who pay for this software are concerned about getting accurate (nee verified correct) extractions of the CD files.
It is my experience that the AccurateRip database is not as comprehensive as it could be.
I would like to suggest that future versions of CD-Ripper be updated to automatically check with CTDB database (and other accuracy-verification databases, if any other exist).
On previous occasions, I have ripped obscure disks where AccurateRip has no or few entried; while CTDB has more.
This week, I ripped two disks from The Charlatans.
A demo-promo disk had NO ENTRY in AccurateRip at all. CTDB at least had 3 previous extractions to compare against.
The UK version of the first album had more than TWICE AS MANY reference extractions on CTDB than what AccurateRip had.
I am not asking that CD-Ripper be modified to do file reconstruction (apparently some capability of CTDB?).
I am just asking that CD-Ripper reach out and compare the new rip to MULTIPLE verification databases (notably CTDB, and others if such exist).
See the EAC logs, attached.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
