Looking for Suggestions on How to Handle and Artist Naming Issue

I have three discs by the artist BeBe and CeCe Winans. I noticed when I ripped it that the artist was listed as "BeBe; CeCe Winans", but since I'm new to dBPowerAmp and the CD Ripper I didn't realize how CD Ripper was going to handle the output. I discovered later that the CD rips were put into a folder called BeBe. I really would like them to be under BeBe & CeCe Winans and not just BeBe. If I rename the folder will the meta data be screwed up? I'm assuming that I can't use '&' in the folder name. Would a better option be to delete the BeBe folder and re-rip the CDs, manually making the artist name "BeBe and CeCe Winans" prior to the rip? Is there a better option to correct the artist name other than the two options that I have presented?

    Thank you.

No need to re-rip, just rename the folder or files and edit the ID tags of your files. Best practice: setup your path and naming string once before you start to rip in masses. For ech CD check the metadata retrieved from the online sources, edit them to your liking and then rip.

You will learn that the metadata provided from the cloud is mostly ok, but i tend to tweak a lot, particularly artist names, album names, genre, date. And also look at artwork options. Sounds like a lot of work, but really not. Just get in the habit of reviewing the info before hitting the rip button. And make sure you explore the option on the ripper page to see all the sources of metadata (cant recall, but the red or green tag at top of page). You can often then choose the best one for your CD.

Renaming the folder won't affect the file metadata, and "&" is fine in folder names. Instead of re-ripping, just use a tag editor like MP3Tag to update the artist info, then reorganize folders based on the new tags. It's quicker and easier.
