    No CD Drive Found

    Hi,

I have just purchased and installed DBpoweramp. When I start the CD Ripper I get the message "No CD Drive Found". I've reviewed other threads and as suggested, when I start the CD Ripper as Administrator it recognises the CD Drive fine.

It's a physical drive, not a virtual drive. I'm having the same problem with JRiver Media Center.

    Any suggestions please?

    Thanks.

Your security software must be blocking access to the drives.

Hi. Problem turns out to be that I am accessing my music PC using Windows Remote Desktop. Not only can CDRipper not see my DVD drive but JRiver can't either, or even play ripped files. Furthermore there's no evidence of my sound card. All is OK when I connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse directly to the PC.

Other's must have had this problem so I'll investigate further.

You have to enable local devices and resources that you want to use in a remote session, I believe they are disabled by default.
