Extremely slow metadata retrieval

It will take up to 20 minutes to retrieve the intelligent metadata from those four databases.
Do I have to change metadata settings or other parameters?

What platform/OS? There have been reports recently with problems in this area for CDRipper for the Mac.

Have a look in this forum for posts relating to this issue and possible workarounds.

Yes, it's MAC OS X El Capitan (V 10.11.1).

In R 15.4 beta for MAC there are options
(a) to cancel metadata retrieval
(b) to deselect single databases

Great! However, after inserting a CD and starting metadata search, it will reset and include all databases (incl. AMG, which might have caused the hangup due to poor server accessibility).
