dBpoweramp Trial Does Not Activate

Hello folks,

i've downloaded and installed dBpoweramp on a Windows 7 PC, but i cannot get the trial to activate. i tried the instructions on this page…

…but it's still not activating. Any ideas?

It's a used PC, so i cannot say for sure that it hasn't. But i figured out a workaround.
