Hi guys, just hoping for some suggestions on a problem I have. Ive been trying to rip a disc by Yellowjackets that is in Accurate Rip. It is 10 tracks. Track 9 gets to 27% and stops. It wont go any further. The disc looks perfect. I have tried secure rip as well as Burst, same result. I have also tried 2 optical drives, an Asus and an Apple Superdrive. All same result. The other 9 tracks rip Accurate. I put the disc in a player and track 9 plays perfectly. Any ideas on what I can try to rip this track and complete the album? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Any suggestions, cant rip one track

Hi Spoon, The progress bar starts off and goes to 27% and stays there(Apple Superdrive). Sounds like the disc is still spinning, but even if I leave it for a while it does not progress past 27%. The Asus drive got to 29% before the same thing happened.Comment

Your drives are on USB hub (powered or unpowered) or direct power from laptop?Comment

Direct power from laptop via USB C connection Everything else was fine, just that one track 9 would not progress. Track 10 was Accurate RipComment

See:
If you're having trouble (error messages, bad output) ripping discs using USB drive, please first make sure that your drive is getting enough power via its USB connector. To do so, connect the drive using a powered USB hub, rather than directly to your computer. Or use USB Y-cable to power the drive from two USB ports. WeComment

Thanks for the info Spoon. I have ripped literally 1000's of discs now and I think it's the first time I get this problem without an obvious reason like a bad scratch, and so far its the one track only. I still have about 30 discs to do today/tomorrow so will see how it goes. Otherwise, I will need to go and start looking for a powered hub. I have a hub, but it is not powered. Thanks again for the feedback. Not sure if it makes any difference, but the laptop is on charge at full while the drive is working. All the best!Comment

Could be a manufacturing defect which only applies to Computer CD drives (audio cd players are a little different)👍 1Comment
