Run dBpoweramp Control Center and look at the version number, it is important. Anyhow even really old versions have some sort of metadata normally, check your firewall is not blocking CD Ripper, also for popular discs it should say 'In AccurateRip' on that column.

I have the same issue that db PowerAmp R16.6 on my old PC (Win 7) does not provide the Metadata anymore (tracks, album covers...). Internet databases such as free db, MusicBrainz etc are tickboxed and program indicates "CD in AccurateRip". From a previously ripped CD, it does retrieve prior metadata from the db poweramp cache, but when I refresh, it does not retrieve any internet data, all information disappeared. I tried disabling win defender and using windows safe mode with network option, but no change... My R16.6 license is active.
Any idea why it does not work?

                See:

R2025 includes many updates to the ever changing metadata landscape, in the recent years: All Media Guide (AMG) service has been discontinued freedb.org has also been discontinued musicbrainz updated their servers, resulting in R16 or older not being able to read the metadata AccurateRip Meta has been introduced R2025

Thank you, time for an upgrade including the hardware.. If I buy now R2025, can I install it later on a new PC (for a single user license) ?
