Characters in tags are jiberish when reading a Greek CD

I am trying to rip a CD that has Greek characters in it. When it is scanned, all the fields such as Album artist, Album, Tract title etc have characters that look like Arabic(?). What needs to be done so that the characters in the fields are the original Greek characters?

It is likely that disc was entered in a local code page (greek) and not in unicode, it will be wrong on line and nothing you can do, except manually type it, if does not appear in another provider correctly.
