    Disc drive causing errors?

So, I decided to re-rip my music to 320mp3 (I was doing 256). However, I seem to be getting errors on every disc now, even ones that ripped perfectly before. Most of them are happening only on tracks 7 or 8. Could this be a sign of something wrong my my actual disc drive? I sold my laptop so I can't check on their now. I just find it odd how the majority of these CDs are brand new, and are now giving errors on everyone I have tried. I even tried EAC, and it's giving errors, but on different tracks, tracks that had previously read fine on both programs. I thought maybe it was just my luck and the CD got a light scratch I can't see, even though I'm careful with everything. Then it was doing it to every disc I tried, so I thought maybe the disc drive is failing to read correctly? I ordered an external drive that should be here tomorrow, just to try.
