New user questions as rips are erroring out

    Hi

I only just recently installed dBPowerAmp as i am trying to build my own library rather than rely on subscriptions all the time. I have more than 200 CDs to rip and plan to add to them if i can find any from family.

However my first attempt came up with some errors.

I followed this guide here to configure the app as per instructions:https://dbpoweramp.com/Help/dMCOSX/c...etup-guide.htm

My drive apparently does not have a cache so that was set to 0 and the C2 option was turned on. The files are saving on Internal MacMini Drive

My Drive is a BluRay Pioneer Drive in an enclosure with its own power supply so the power issue cannot be it. I often rip 4K Blurays on MakeMKV with no issue here.

Any ideas? Error logs and screenshots below.

    Could just be the CD!

    Here are the logs:

    Relates to this:

If you're having trouble (error messages, bad output) ripping discs using USB drive, please first make sure that your drive is getting enough power via its USB connector. To do so, connect the drive using a powered USB hub, rather than directly to your computer. Or use USB Y-cable to power the drive from two USB ports. We

We release a new version tomorrow which fixes the issue, but the problem is still present internally.

      Thanks Spoon

My drive is in its own powered enclosure on direct power supply - only uses the USB for Data etc. I am assuming the power supply is not the issue then? How about the other settings for cache (set to 0) and C2?

I had the same issue on some other discs as well. Will do the update and get back to you

      Thanks

      Michael

You could try different settings to see if fixes the issue, the update (we are running a day or so late) masks the error by accepting the reduced amount of data
