Should I return this newly purchased CD?

Hi all,

Please see below. There are two tracks that didn't process with a complete accurate. Does this happen often? Did I get a good rip with this or should I return the CD?

no. Likely no issue. The two tracks are secure at least. Can you try rip on different drive.

Thank you very much. what does the term "secure" actually mean? Does this mean that there are still errors?

that means that the drive did not report any errors, but the calculated checksum is not known and couldn't be verified within the database.

Correct. And secure is the best you can get short of an ACCURATERIP database match.

Yes. And even "warning" means it had to rerip a few frames but eventually matched the CRC. By the way, tell us your settings in the ultra secure options. We might have suggestions. That is number of attempts, C2 on or off, etc.

I have noticed that quite a few CD's have trouble ripping the last track or so. Dbpoweramp wants to re-read 25,000+ frames I used ultra secure checked on as well as off. I've tried C2 on and off as well. I finally have to resort to a burst rip. Could there be an issue with my CD ripper. I'm beginning to believe that the CD's are ok as this has happened with several on the last track or two only. The other tracks always rip fine. Oh, by the way, I am ripping MP3 LAME at 320 kps.

Try un-ticking the 'Read into Lead-in or Lead-out' option.

Thank you. I have tried unticking and ticking the lead-in or lead-out option and still have the same results. No luck. The software still wants to re-rip thousands of frames. I have tried AccurateRip checked and unchecked as well. Very frustrating.
